When infrared light emitted by the light source passes through the measured sample during transmission, scattering occurs, and the scattered light intensity is proportional to the suspended solids concentration. A scattered light receiver is installed at a 90° angle inside the sensor. The suspended solids value is calculated by analyzing the intensity of scattered light. It is widely used for suspended solids monitoring in sewage plants, waterworks, hydrological stations, surface water, industrial processes and other fields.
